Apple event on October 4 / iOS 5 GM on October 4
Yay! Apple has finally sent the first invitations to an iphone event on october 4.
The motto of the event, "Let's talk iPhone."
The next iPhone is said to be thinner, have a A5 processor, 1GB of RAM and iOS 5 pre-installed. It will perhaps also feature a new 8MP Camera and a slightly bigger screen.
Likely Tim Cook will present the new iPhone, well, let’s see 
It would also be typical for Apple to release iOS 5 GM after the event. All in all we can all look forward to this. You’ll get updated here on iTweaks.net. That’s all we can say for now.
Chrome 15 Beta released
Google has released Chrome 15 beta. The biggest change is (obviously) the new “New Tab” page:
Google Chrome now shows your bookmarks, Apps and most visited sites on the New Tab Page. (Source)

- A brand new New Tab Page
- To rearrange apps, just drag and drop them on the page.
- To create a new apps section, drag an app to the bottom of the page until a new apps section appears. You can rename this section by double-clicking the label. For example, you can create a section of apps for “Work” (full of productivity apps) and a section for “Play” (full of games).
- To remove items from any section on the page, start dragging them to the bottom right of the page. A trash can will appear, where you can drop the item to remove it.
- To see the tabs you’ve just closed, click “Recently closed” on the bottom right of the page.
- Javascript Fullscreen API is now enabled by default
- Chrome Web Store items can now be installed inline by their verified site (that means you don’t have to get apps from Google Web Store, you can also get them from other websites)
- Omnibox History is now an additional sync data type

Get your music – free and legal!
Where are you getting your music from? iTunes? Amazon? Napster music flat? Or downloading from youtube which is illegal if you’re downloading copyrighted material… That’s all not really the right thing. So this post is about a nice program called streamWriter.
What is streamWriter?
streamWriter lets you record internet radio streams. It automatically cuts the songs and writes the ID3 Tags, so for example iTunes knows what song it is. If you listen to music everyone listens to, that’s really the best way to get your music. The best thing: it’s both free and legal.
streamWriter lists all your streams - it can record multiple streams at once.
streamWriter has a blacklist and automatcally adds already recorded songs to it.
The program also offers an audio editor, but in most cases you won't need it because streamWriter cuts very accurate.
